Depending on your operating system settings, Apple may also collect certain data and make it available to us. For example, this could include application usage statistics and crash logs.
Weather Strip uses geographic locations to request location-specific data (such as weather forecasts and place names) from third-party services. We take several steps to help protect your privacy:
- You can select locations manually or choose to use the exact location of your device.
- Weather Strip approximates all locations sent to weather forecast providers by rounding to 3 decimal places in latitude and longitude.
- Weather Strip only transmits your chosen location information to services that need it to provide location-specific data. It does not transmit your location information to us.
Weather Strip uses third-party services including those listed below. We choose providers carefully, but it is possible for these services to collect, process, and store information about you, including but not limited to your IP address and Location Information. Please refer to the privacy policies of these third-party data processors for information regarding their data practices.
United States National Weather Service (NOAA) — Weather forecasts
